Happy to welcome the Cherokee Nation delegation to Los Angeles!

As a Cherokee Citizen I was happy to welcome the Cherokee Nation delegation to Los Angeles. Principal Chief Baker, Secretary of State Chuck Hoskin Jr and Miss Cherokee  Whitney Roach were welcomed by Mayor Eric Garcetti and the entire City Council.

Principal Chief Baker and the delegation also participated in a Flag Ceremony at UAII (United American Indian Involvement).

On Saturday October 20th over 300 Cherokee Citizens gathered for a Cherokee Nation Community event at the Autry Museum in Los Angeles.

There are over 2,000 Cherokee Citizens in Los Angeles and 25k statewide. The Cherokee Nation is the largest tribal government with over 360k citizens.
